PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY WOMEN'S BAR ASSOCIATION

The Prince George's County Women's Bar Association is an affiliate of the Women's Bar Association of Maryland ("WBA"). The purpose of the WBA shall be to maintain the honor and integrity of the legal profession; to advance the interests of women engaged in the practice of law; to promote legal science; to aid the administration of justice; to advance the status of women in society through law related activities; and to coordinate with and act as a liason between its affiliates.

2005 Calendar of Events

Last year the WBA recognized our chapter with a Pro Bono Award for our efforts to reach out to the girls in our juvenile justice system. In 2005, PGWBA will continue our Waxter Outreach Project every Saturday morning in March (Women's History Month) from 9:00a.m. unitl 12 NOON. Come one Saturday or all four Saturdays. Our theme for the March 2005 project is:

EXPRESS YOURSELF!

Saturday, March 5th - Therapist Merry Goldberg will lead a writing , role-playing program on self-esteem and create an affirmation book.
Saturday, March 12th - Using paint and a sheet we will create a mural as a visual expression of the affirmation book.
Saturday, March 19th - Partnering with the Black Women's Bar Association of Southern Maryland (BWBA) the format will be a talk show discussing self-expression.
Saturday - March 26th - Partnering with Joe's Movement Emporium self- expression through movement ending with a PARTY!
